Rebuilding Together’s mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low income homeowners, from elderly and disabled to families with children, live in warmth, safety and independence. In partnership with communities, our goal is to make a sustainable impact. It is the largest national volunteer organization dedicated to rehabilitating homes and communities. On the traditional annual Workday, the last Saturday in April, there are 250,000 volunteers working in 700 cities across the country.

• Homeowners continue to live in their own homes.
• Neighborhoods are revitalized.
• Property values are increased.
• Housing stock is maintained.
• Unwanted elements are discouraged.
• Volunteers gain a sense of ‘ownership’ in their community.

Here in Santa Rosa we rehabilitate about 10 homes and 3 community sites with 250 volunteers on the one Workday a year. April 25, 2009 is the next.
